If you have an a.rm's r.each co-sleeper, is the mattress level with yours, or is it below (so you have to actually "lift" baby up)?

Mine was below level. (that, combined with paranoia due to a scary amazon review , made me stop using it as a co-sleeper. instead right now its a basinette for supervised naps.) I know you can get extensions to raise the level, but am wondering if anyone here has done this!
