I know taking sudafed can dry up your supply but kellymom references another medicine, Phenylephrine, that has no evidence of messing with supply.
Would you or have you tried a different decongestant?

I use a mucus expectorant, starts with a G, and it works wonders. I found it through kellymom. I've never heard of the medicine you mentioned.

I used Afrin and kept it at that plus Advil for fever/pain/swelling.

@creativemomma15: is that what's in the sudafed that's on the shelves (sudafed with pseudophedrine is kept behind te counter now). If that's the stuff on the shelves it doesn't do anything for me anyway so I personally wouldn't bother. So far I've just done Advil and the neti pot. Blegh.

I think I'm coming down with a cold, too
I'm just using the neti pot...helps me more than anything else and don't have to worry about messing with my supply.
