@Adira: How exciting!!! This sounds promising and I'm super jealous but happy for you! I hope you don't have to go back to work, whether you end up actively in labor today or not!

Thanks ladies!! Made it home safe and sound but definitely noticed contractions on the way. I talked on the phone to my friend and I was able to talk through them, but they were definitely noticeable and uncomfortable/painful. I'm guessing not intense enough for anything yet though. Now that I'm home, I'm going to try timing them more accurately and see what happens.

@Adira: Eek good luck!
That sounds like how my labor started. With my back labor I never felt a single contraction in my abdomen. When I was pushing I felt them in my hips, but that was it. During the day, as they were slowly slowly getting more intense over the course (like 12 hours) I spent a lot of time on a yoga ball, and when they got really bad got a good amount of relief by either sitting on the toilet leaning forward, being on my hands and knees or leaning over the kitchen counter. No matter what it was my body was sort of curled over my abdomen, though.
Try to eat something, take it easy, and good luck!!

Eat a good meal and attempt to sleep, or at least rest your body (take a bath!) so you are prepared for active labor. Good luck, I'm so excited for you!

@Arden: Totally agree with eating something! I wish I had done that before we went to the hospital!
@Adira: Hoping this is it for you! So excited! Hopefully your DH isn't carpooling any longer :o)

@2PeasinaPod: haha, he IS! I even told him this morning that I thought it was a bad idea! Luckily, he was able to convince his carpoolers to leave work early, so he's already on his way home.

@Adira: Definitely eat something & rest up! Sleep/rest all you can while you can. Hopefully they'll continue to pick up BUT if they don't, don't get discouraged. Your body knows exactly what it's doing & every single contraction, every. single. one. is doing it's job to bring your lo into the world! *excited*
