I remember thinking that I could never go through delivery again after having ds1! I pushed for two hours and my epi stopped/failed just before it. It was the most pain I've ever felt in my life!
Second labor and delivery was intense but quick and i had such an adrenaline rush from going medfree afterwards! I'm only 2.5 months pp and I can def consider going through it again!

I could do it again especially after LO2, I was worse off during some stomach bugs. My second labor and delivery were a breeze. A few issues but nothing that didn't work out in the end.

I can relate to your experience! I did it without drugs and pushing for 2 hours really made me never want to experience anything like natural birth ever again. I am definitely a few years from considering another baby and by then I may consider an epidural. I hear pushing can go much faster the second time around, but I'm not convinced

@ldh112: yes it was only ten minutes?! 3 sets of 3 pushes! He was literally born less than two hours from when they admitted me and did the first cervical check!

DS was a three day labor. DD was eight hours. No epidurals. I wouldn't want to repeat DS's, but DD's wasn't too bad!

Labor and delivery does not scare me. All the other things scare me. Preterm labor, genetic issues, etc

@BandDmommy: Definitely this, but I will say that after a post partum hemorrhage with DS1 and a placental abruption with DS2, labor and delivery is now encompassed with the rest of my fears...

I never would have had #2 if I believed it would be as bad as #1. As I kept repeating in labor "no more first babies, ever".

@mrsjyw: I had a similar experience - pushed for two hours, although my epi didn't fail until closer to the end. I broke my tailbone, so that sucked, but even considering that it wasn't as bad as I thought -- I really thought I couldn't do it at all and never even considered the idea that I'd actually have a successful vaginal delivery (always thought a c-section sounded better, actually), even as I was being induced! The experience was, on the whole, positive and pretty soon after I knew I'd do it again - though hopefully without a failed epidural next time 
Once we got through sleep training we went from talking about DS being an only child to talking about having three kids!

Yep, I was happily drugged up both times and was very fortunate to have uneventful deliveries.

I feel like things went really well the first time so I would say yes, for sure! But I sometimes worry that I used all my good vibes on the first one and the next one will be really rough.

I didn't think DD1's delivery was that bad...very typical and routine....however, I realize it was when I had DD2. Labored for 2 hours, got the best epidural ever, watched 2 episodes of Parenthood, pushed twice, and had her totally painlessly. I felt so present for the entire thing and could think clearly...whereas with DD1 I was just praying it would end.

Definitely! I didn't feel a thing (probably not to my benefit) but I was happy at the time. Pushed for 90 minutes which was super hard but painless. Hoping to go quicker with #2!

...sure? I mean I got induced, labored 18 hours (sucked), then had an unplanned c-section because LO got stuck. It was not fun but it wasn't really all as bad as I thought it would be. Especially the c-section part. So I could do THAT again. But the unknown/after scares me more. I think I'd want to try for a VBAC which is sort of scary in itself, especially because it is unknown. And I want to try for that primarily because I had post-op complications that were a little scary and very gross and challenging for 8 weeks pp. Still, even with the trouble, I COULD do it again, if I really wanted that next kid. All of that sucked less than being pregnant and having a newborn lol.

I distinctly remember saying to myself in the middle of labor, "I never want to do this again. Never ever again." But after getting the epidural, everything went very easily. So I think I'll be ok with it, with pain killers.

I could but I feel like I'm much more aware of what could go wrong now. I had a relatively easy labor and delivery so I'd just like to end things on a high note.

I had such a high after my med free birth I felt like I could do it again and again no problem. Like, I forgot what contractions felt like before I left the hospital and barely remember the pain of pushing- though I remember that it was, in fact, the worst pain of my life.
However I'm in my third trimester of my second and probably last pregnancy and I don't think I can do pregnancy again, especially with two toddlers.
But yeah I'm not worried about labor and delivery (maybe naively so). I'm worried about life with a newborn and a toddler.

I feel like I could do it one more time, but that's it. Both my deliveries were planned c-sections, but recovery from my latest was rough. And I hate the awful morning sickness. Hopefully we'll be lucky enough to have one more.

I could definitely go through labor and delivery again (two great deliveries - thank you epidurals!)
Could I go through the newborn period a third time?? The jury's still out on that one

I said I couldn't do it again, but the pain clears so quickly and the adrenaline is incredible... Here I am pregnant with #2! That said, this is it for me. Pregnancy is too rough on me to do it ever again.

The labor was not that bad, only 2 really bad hours before epidural, so yup, I could do it again. I'm more hesitant about the pregnancy and weight gain. But we plan to ttc late next year!

I'm more traumatized from the post-partum period than I am from birth. The birth was just one day. The entire year after that was very difficult for me (hemorrhaged after the birth, milk wouldn't come in, post-partum anxiety, hemorrhoids, had supply problems forever, nursing strike, biting, pumping at work, etc.) UGH. I'd be a lot more interested in giving birth if I could just skip all that drama from the first year.

Labor and delivery would be no problem for me. Being pregnant again, however, is a completely different story.

I had a med free labor and pushed for 3 hours. I could totally do it again. It was hard but I knew my body could do it. I was happy and tired when it was over but not high, it all felt very calm and surprissingly normal.
Next time I could skip the tearing and hemroid.

I don't think I could do another pregnancy. I hurt a lot, I struggle with weight gain (like actually gaining it), and I'm facing the same possible placental complications that likely led to me to hemorrhaging when Evan was born. My providers have a very proactive plan already in place if it does, but it really casts a pall over the whole experience, especially knowing I have a higher risk of it happening again.
That said, I have no doubt I could totally do labor and delivery again, even with the complications. I was totally zen the first time

Will I? Sure if I want a second.
A 43 hour induction, 4 hours of pushing and a failed epidural suuuucked. But since I had a scheduled induction for gestational diabetes and was given an unplanned induction 4 days early due to pre e it's likely I will get one or both again which will end in an induction sooooooo.

Definitely! First time around I had an induction with no epidural and while the super intense contractions sucked throughout my 11 hour labor, pushing was easy and lo was out in one push (she pretty much fell out!)
Lo2 was a natural, no epidural labor/birth and I found it much easier then the induction. The labor was only 4 hours and only pushed for 5 minutes tops.
It took about 20 minutes after lo2's birth that I declared I could definitely do it again.
