When did you switch your LO from the crib to toddler bed?
Our LO is about to turn 2 and sleeps wonderfully in the crib, but she is a climber, so I expect her to jump out of it any day.

My LO is 20 months and is starting to show signs of climbing out. A friend whose husband works in life insurance claims just told me of a case where a baby climbed out and died as a result of a fall... so we are going to Ikea in 2 weeks to let DD pick out her big girl bed!

E is nearly 20 months and still hasn't shown any signs of trying to climb out at all. Once he does we'll change his bed over.

My DS climbed out right before age 2 - everyone told me "well guess its time for a big boy bed!" I was like "ummm, no way!"
I crossed my fingers that it was a fluke and luckily it was - he didn't climb out again until age 3 and then at that point we moved him!

My son is a climber but has never tried climbing out of his crib. He has tried to comb in though...

We switched LO right before she turned 20 months. She was a utterly horrible sleeper. We had nothing to lose. Sleep has much improved since the switch.

DS was 3 months shy of turning three. It was an easy transition. DD is 22 months, we just switched her from the crib to toddler bed and she isn't doing great.

He's 22 months now, sleeps great in his crib and hasn't tried to climb out at all. I'm not going to mess up a good thing!

We transitioned shortly before he turned 2. He was content and sleeping well in his crib. I thought that he was ready for the new responsibility, but he didn't show any signs of climbing out. Well it was a huge mistake on my part, and we struggled for months to get him to sleep willingly in his room by himself. If I could do it over again, I would wait until he tried to climb out.

Right after she turned 2. Her sleep stayed the same so that was good. She was fine in her crib, but I just went for it anyway. We skipped the toddler bed and moved her to a twin.

C is just over 20 months and hasn't shown any signs of climbing out yet (although she climbs like crazy on the rest of our furniture). Once she does, we'll see if it's a fluke like @Mamaof2: or if it happens again. We'll put the toddler rail on if it does happen again, but we won't be changing it to a full-size until she's 3-4.

My DS is 2 yrs 3 mos and has never tried to climb out. Last week I walked in and he had one leg over the edge... he is kind of timid in general so I feel like he was trying to psych himself up to climb out! We considered switching him out before 2 but he loves his crib and feels safe there (often refuses to be picked up after waking up and just wants to play in bed!) so we thought, why mess with a good thing?

Lo#1 I switched at 18 months because there was no keeping her in anyways, taking the side off was much safer. Lo#2 never climbed out but getting her to take naps was heck so at 20 months we put her in a bug girl bed and while we had some issues at first she was certainly ready, now she cries a bit at nap time but rarely actually gets up.

We switched him at 20 months, but we were transitioning him out of our bed. It worked out really well for us since he understood that the little bed was for him and we kept telling him he's a big boy now. We kept the bed in our bedroom since he's never slept away from us. He's been successfully sleeping in his bed since. It's only been a week.

I'm switching DD to a floor bed between 15 and 16 months out of necessity (new baby needs the crib). We'll see how it goes!

33 months. He could have gone on sleeping in the crib since he slept well and never tried to climb out, but we transitioned before the new baby arrived. We switched to a twin though.
