Our lo starts crying after bottle feedings. She sometimes cries after the but not as often. She does seem to have a lot of gas while eating, could that be causing it? We're trying gas drops to see if they help for now, not sure what else to do... Thoughts?

Burp her more. My LO cries when he has a hidden extra burp.

She's either still hungry or has a burp that needs to get out.

Also, have you seen the doctor about reflux?

How long does she cry for? We give DD a bottle of expressed milk once a day or every other day and despite breaking her off mid-feed to burp her, she still downs it much quicker than she completes a feed on the breast. When she finishes the bottle, she has a pretty grumpy cry for a couple of minutes but then settles down - I think it's because she eats so quickly, her stomach and brain don't have time to sync up to let her know when she's full, but after a couple of minutes, she realises she's no longer hungry.
Not sure if I explained that well, but if it's a short lived cry, it could be that. Otherwise, I'd say maybe gas. Our LO has a lot of gas as well but we've started her on probiotics and that seems to be working out well.

Could be reflux? Once we put LO on meds, she stopped crying and fussing during feedings.

E used to do this quite often. I took it to mean that he was still hungry and tried giving him more, but it got to a point where I was over-feeding him. Babies can get milk much faster through a nipple, even the slow flow ones, so like Ree723 said their brains don't always have time to sync up. It was ultimately just a phase for us and E will eat without crying afterwards now.
