I see all these cute Bento boxes and read what people send for their kids for lunch. Do the teachers heat up the food? Or they eat them cold?

LO's lunch at preschool (sent from home) is always cold. I suppose I could send a Thermos, but there isn't an easy way to heat food there.

If I pack it in a bento box, it will be eaten room temp. If it's in a glass container and I leave a note to heat it, they will heat it. When my DD goes to public school next year though, there won't be an option to heat it so I'll have to pack room temp foods.

I use separate containers inside the big container - that way the teacher takes out what needs reheating and leaves the rest cold!

I send stuff in individual containers so that they can heat stuff, but I think they usually just serve it room temperature.
