On Friday, my daughter took her first steps!!

We all know that if you're a working parent you may miss out on seeing your child's "very" first moments like crawling, steps, etc. My daycare workers are very good about not telling us when she does something we haven't seen before. I told them they are absolutely NOT to tell me that she is walking unless I tell them I see it first. Well, I went in this morning and told the morning teacher that she took steps this weekend and she made a funny face like she was trying to hold something in. Then she blurted out, "Oh yeah, she's been doing that for a while."

I guess I should be happy that they didn't tell me before I saw it but still, I kind of wish her response had been more of a "Yay!" response than a "Oh yeah, we've been watching her do that forever now."

I think infant room teachers need to go through sensitivity to parents training. Who's with me?
