I know. I'm warm. I'm comfy. I cuddle you close and I produce milk on those occassions when you want more than just a pacifier. But when all you want to do is sleep and the only way I can get you to sleep is by putting you to my breast so you can suckle? We have a problem. I know, I know, the pacifiers just aren't doing it for you but I'd like to remind you, I'm not a pacifier either. I can't just stay in your mouth the entire time you sleep, comforting you. I know we do this at night right now so that mommy can get a little sleep herself but during the day? I have so much more to do. I have to keep up with your big brother for one. I have to eat and use the bathroom for two. I would like, every once in a while, to just sit and rest without either munchkin needing my arms and attention.
Which means we're going to have to stop this. You're going to have to learn to go to sleep with a pacifier or not at all because honey? If you keep it up, my nipples are going to fall off. If for no other reason than because every time you're asleep and decide to stretch? You clamp down with your toothless little bite and pull. And stretch. And my poor boobs can't take much more of that. So here's your advance warning. Starting next week, we're cracking down on this problem. You have a few days to start making the necessary adjustments.
Love,
Me
