@LAZB: might ask for vaginal next month. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Took another test today and nada again, so I think it's safe to call it.

@MamaBear87: @Kaohinani: I emailed my dr today and among many things asked if we're at the end of the road that he's involved. I haven't heard back yet, but I imagine some major decisions will have to be made in the next couple months.

@Sams Mom: I hope everything works for the best. Honestly, you getting your BFP would be phenomenal 😁, but if you HAD to see a RE for further testing (and to discuss "possible options"), it couldn't hurt. I feel so vindicated in yesterday's visit to the RE ... I KNEW my lining must be a fraction thin (the light 2/3 AFs are a dead giveaway) and lower estrogen for an INDIVIDUAL, even if in the normal range for a POPULATION, can cause issues in generally fertile women. The RE was confirming my suspicions and affording DH and I a plan to move forward based on the results of further tests (which we are awaiting the results of.). I will admit, I'm pretty d#mn stoked! DH and I were so motivated we even brought in his "deposit" for examination FIRST THING this morning!
I suppose what I'm saying is not to look at this month or next month as an end to anything (* time with your OBGYN, a chapter in TTC, fertility meds, whatever), rather, a different chapter and a stepping stone to move on to the next place you need to go to get the baby you so dearly want.

    * Sorry for the novella.

  7. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: the reason I've fought moving on to an RE aside from cost is the closest one is 200+ miles away.

  8. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: I get you. If we are cleared for IUI, it can be done at the clinic by me; however, if we have to move on to IVF, it has to be done 2 hours away where the embryos would be stored. I'm praying my AMH comes back the way it did 2 years ago (* spectacular), and DH and I are candidates for IUI simply because of the time DH and I would have to take off from work, time for travel, coordinating babysitting, and cost for IVF. We may ONLY be able to swing 2 tries of IVF ... IDK if it would be worth the cost of egg extraction at that point.

Just keep positive and remember, we are in the same boat. πŸ˜‰πŸ’•

    @yellowbeach: looks awesome! Test tomorrow?

  15. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: I know it was only for "Sam's Mom's perusal" and all but the chart is up there so I'm looky-looing as well. πŸ˜‰ FWIW, your temps look textbook for a traditional cycle and are VERY encouraging for a possible sticky BFP. It even looks as though you had a slight drop 6 dpo (which is normal) but a definitive dip from 6-7 which could be implantation. 🀞

  16. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani: oh lol - she had specifically requested an updated chart over on the ivf board, but I posted it here instead since I know how much we all like looking at stuff πŸ˜‰

@LAZB: tomorrow I will be 5dp5dt. I suppose I can test but just need to not expect much yet.

GREAT test results came back!!! πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‘

Keep in mind, my numbers were taken on the 1st day of AF, so both estradiol and progesterone will be far lower than during my "active" cycle:

CD 1 Results as follows: Normal

    HCG- negative
    Estro - 75
    Prog - .04
    AMH - 1.02 (* Great numbers for upper 30's/nearly 40)
    FSH - 8.7
    LH - 3.6
    Prolactin - 5.15
    TSH - 2.78
*** My cyst is just a corpus luteum cyst but I will still go in for a follow-up US ***
--- I have 3 follicles in my Right ovary this cycle.

    DH's results: Normal
    Concentration - 88 mil (* they look for 50 m)
    Motility- 57% (* 40% is average)
Morphology- 11% Normal (7% is average)

We are APPROVED FOR IUI (* Happy dance πŸ’ƒπŸ•ΊπŸ‘πŸ™) and will begin discussing medication (injectable gonadotropins) options after this cycle!!!!
    So flipping happy!

@Kaohinani: WOOT WOOT! So happy everything turned out well!

  23. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: Thank you! I am soooooooo excited! A bit frustrated as well since the RE stated that with our numbers, technically, there SHOULD be no reason why we haven't conceived a 3rd child yet... but, that is what further testing is for. I'm going to think of this as an "adventure" and the path I'm meant to be on.

@yellowbeach: If you're looking for a voice of reason you're going to have to look somewhere else

  31. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: I'm impressed by your willpower. I know our first IUI cycle, I'm going to be itching to test (feeding into Sam's Mom's stick gazing obsession. πŸ˜‰πŸ€£) ... IDK how I may feel about testing if we need subsequent IUIs though. I may become test-shy again. 😊
I can only imagine how you must feel each cycle knowing an embie is already there and just needs to implant. So stressful AND exciting at the same time! 😬 That would make me anxious and test-crazed. πŸ˜‚
Honestly, I secretly hope you POAS tomorrow and get a beautiful BFP; however, I know it may still be early and you may want to wait a couple more days. SO, no pressure from me.

  32. yellowbeach

BFN on the OSOM, but not FMU and only 4dp5dt. Will test again in the AM.

  33. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: I take back my previous post πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - You caved. I no longer am impressed by your willpower. πŸ˜‰

In all seriousness, you are UBER-early for testing. Your BFP is coming...
    🀞

  34. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani: I know πŸ˜” no willpower AT ALL. At least is an early and not a false like last cycles, so I’ll take it for now.

Mannnnnnn, we're dragging butt over here.

I am counting the minutes down to the weekend. I was excited because we were supposed to get a pretty big snow storm, because then we could take our son sledding. Buttttt noooooo, the weatherman lied to us.

@Kaohinani: your numbers look great! I’m sure they will get you knocked up in no time over there
@yellowbeach: sorry about the bfn, but you are right, non fmu at 9 dpo was a long shot. Tomorrow will be more telling!

I tested this morning and got the faintest line - I have wondfos rn but I went out to buy FRER and will test again in the morning. I might be crazy - that line is blink-and-you'll-miss-it. AF is due Wednesday. I feel different than I have approaching AF lately, so fingers crossed -

  39. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@LAZB: Thank you, lazb! Knocked up is definitely the goal! πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ€£ I'm hoping my lining isn't the problem though. πŸ€” I've got to thicken her up a bit.
