@math.nerd: thanks so much!!
@MamaBear87: I’m sorry. Don’t lose hope though, seriously! DH and I were beginning to think that maybe we just weren’t supposed to have kids after doing this for 1.5 years meanwhile watching all of our cousins popping out kids left and right. I feel your pain but don’t give up!!

Please remove me from the list. AF came this morning, so I’m throwing myself a pity party cause DH and I also got into an unrelated argument last night. Heading to work now so trying to keep distracted.
I can’t help but think this was likely our last attempt - we talked about how we just can’t afford fertility treatments offered here where we live,
Anyway, sorry to bring the board down! Good luck to everyone else who has yet to POAS this month!

@LabradorLover: oh not discouraged yet! We've only been trying a few months. It just always sucks to see a negative. Hoping my period arrives today so it avoids all the holiday fun!
@Mrs. Oreo: I'm so sorry. I hope things work out for you

@Mrs. Oreo: thank you and I’m so sorry
@MamaBear87: I hear you on the negatives, I’ve seen many of those and it totally does suck!!

@Mrs. Oreo: I'm so sorry. I understand re: fertility treatments. I'm afraid if we don't conceive this cycle, we'll go to the doctor to hear about our options and what's wrong, only to learn we can't afford treatments. That's why I've been putting such high hopes on this cycle. I understand how you feel. *hugs*

Does anyone know if it's common with Clear Blue OPKs to have multiple days of high readings before a peak? I'm on four straight days of high readings and still no peak. I just got my cheapo OPKs in the mail, and these were their readings last night and this morning. I'm hoping I'll ovulate today, but would I if I haven't gotten a peak reading? What do you all think?
kiwi / 548 posts
@afc061018: from my experience, I always had 3 days of high readings and then my peak and my cheapies read the same. My Bestie, however, continuously got high readings, never got a peak reading the clear blue, but got a positive on the cheapies. They certainly covered their basis and now she is 24 weeks pregnant. So I would cover your basis just in case, if you aren’t already doing so!

@LabradorLover: That makes me hopeful! Thank you for sharing. We've been BDing just in case, so fingers crossed.

So this is my first cycle using OPKs and it’s hard. This is negative but is it high? Like, tomorrow I’ll probably get a +?

@Ms.Mermaid: Sorry for lurking but I would wait to take a pic until the strip isn't pink. As is, it looks like you could be a few days out.

@Ms.Mermaid: looks close but probably still a day or 2.
Haha I'm now a day or 2 late. Had cramps this morning but still no period and stark white tests. I just want my period to appear already or see something on a test
I didn't test until I was almost a week late with my daughter so no idea if I'm one of those ladies who doesn't test positive for forever

DH told me he was 95% sure I’m pregnant...just took this when he left the house! Maybe now he will be 100% positive!!

@MamaBear87: that has to be so annoying! Hoping something happens soon for you and hopefully it’s a positive test!

@MamaBear87: thank you! Definitely a different feeling when you see it spelled out like that!

@LabradorLover: so cool to see you so excited!! You said in the other thread you bought presents to tell grandparents at Christmas right? They have the best reactions
kiwi / 548 posts
@MamaBear87: yes! I bought some frames for them that say a baby is arriving! My mom is my best friend and it’ll be super hard for me not to tell her until Xmas eve but it’ll be worth it!

@LabradorLover: my biggest regret from telling my inlaws was that I didn’t properly hit record on my phone to video it! I was afraid they would be suspicious by my filming it but I recommend it!!!!

Today in things I’ve peed on: this is still not positive, right? I had EWCM today and the start of some mid-cycle pain.

@Ms.Mermaid: definitely going to try and record both of our parents! I think your test is very close to being positive!

And on to next month! Finally! My period being 2 days late was making me batty, super long luteal phase for me.
@MrsJBeeG: maybe I'll try for some thread starters luck

@MamaBear87: I’m sorry that it didn’t work out for you this time. Keeping my fingers crossed for you and I do recommend starting the January thread. It worked for me - so I’m a believer!

@MrsJBeeG: fingers crossed 3rd time will also be the charm hope you're feeling a bit less awful

@MamaBear87: keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I’m more stressing because I have my first appointment tomorrow - it’s early at 5w6d but I’m really hoping for good news. I guess I’m getting used to the symptoms - they are there about the same - I’m just dealing and telling myself to enjoy being pregnant this time.

Another negative OPK today, though according to my app I should O tomorrow. I feel way less mid-cycle pain than I usually do, but I think that just means I'm O'ing on the other side. I guess we'll just keep going until I get a positive test or something?
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ms.Mermaid: my cycle has been sorta messed up since we started ttc. I think it's just natural to stress some and that can alter your cycle. Are you temping or is it just an app that keeps track of your cycles.
I would keep bd until you get a positive opk abs then for a few days after. You can get a positive anywhere from 12-48 hours before you ovulate

@MamaBear87: ugh I’m sorry!! Sending you all my thoughts for January!
kiwi / 745 posts
@MamaBear87: Yeah I think that is happening to me, although I'm getting my mid-cycle pain right on track, and what I remember from last time around was that the pain was like, 3 days before the app thought I o'd based on temping, which is why I switched to OPKs. I think once I get through a couple cycles with the OPKs I'll have a better sense of timing and whatnot.

@Ms.Mermaid: i usually only test once a day and seem to have a short surge so sometimes miss it. That one looks like it needs to sit a bit longer and then it might be positive?

@MamaBear87: I thought if you read them after 5 minutes they weren't valid? Ugh I don't even know.
