DH keeps asking if we still have a chance of being pregnant

    Big hugs. I agree with the others, you certainly have a keeper there. Your hubby sounds so devoted and hopeful. People react to IF in so many different ways, it's nice to see he takes the optimistic path. Thoughts and prayers that a BFP heads your way soon.

    So cute, but heartbreaking too. I truly hope you get your BFP soon!

    @bluestriped bee: It is so cute that he is symptom spotting though

    @Mrs. Jacks: Haha. Yeah, it is. Glad it's just those symptoms and not taking my basal temperature or checking for CM (Eww, for him.)

    Thanks everyone from the bottom of my heart. I actually was doing really well, this month, with moving on but that text this morning was so hard to read.

    He wanted to know if AF came yet when I came home. It hasn't yet. Oh, and I just tested and it's negative and today is 14 DPO. Definitely not pregnant unless it's a really late show. I highly doubt it. DH asked me as soon as I left the bathroom. Again, he is really eager. I told him again that I highly doubt we are pregnant. I still think he is hoping.

    I'm so sorry! I remember DH doing that with me each month and being so frustrated even though I knew he was just being hopeful. Hugs!

    Hugs!! I remember my DH asking and I felt so disappointed telling him No.... it's so tough... It's great that he's hopeful though! And you have each other to be bummed about the bfn.

    @marionberry: @hellobeeboston: @winniebee: thank you.

    So first thing this morning at 6:30a, as soon as I open my eyes and check my phone for messages, he asks me if I got my period. He is not a morning person (6:30 is early for him) and we dont reallt say much in the morning. He must really be thinking about it.

    @twodoghouse: I'm only like 1% annoyed with the DH for asking. I think it's so real seeing how eager he is about getting pregnant. Maybe we talked about the 'what if we got pregnant this cycle' too much this cycle and maybe I got his hopes up too much.

    I think there are some months where it's really hard on me and other months like this one where its more hard on him. Also, this was our first cycle TTC and it was a natural cycle. Maybe deep down in his heart, he was hoping we could do it without help. Poor DH.

    So I'm on CD 35 and still no AF and still getting BFNs. My normal cycle is 33-34 but I use iPeriod to track my cycles and I see that last month my cycle was 37 days long. I just want AF to freakin get here so I can start on my IUI cycle! DH is traveling at the end of Nov and I thought I would have gotten my period by now. My doctor is planning on doing the IUI on day 14 of my cycle which is now going to be a 1-2 days before the DH leaves. Stupid late period!! If I'm pregnant just give me a freaking BFP, if not, tell AF to hurry up!! BTW, today is 17 DPO. I'll be so pissed if my late period makes my DR suggest not to do the IUI because of DH's upcoming trip.

    @pui: oh, I got the book 'what to expect when she's not expecting.' It's an IF book for men. It's has good reviews so I'm hoping DH could use it for support. Also, when we do IVF, I heard it explains the process for men to understand. Hope it gives him support he needs.

    @autumnlove: thank you!

    @bluestriped bee: I hope either AF shows her ugly face soon or your tests turn positive. What kind of tests are you using, maybe you can blame the tests? You two are in my heart every skngle month. Hugs!

  23. BSB

    hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

    @Boogs: aww, thank you! I'm just using those wondfro test strips.

    I did do a google search of people not getting BFP until their period was more than two weeks late. Some people were getting BFN when they were 5 weeks pregnant and didn't get a BFP until 8 weeks. Yikes! It would kill me to wait that long. Maybe if I get to a few days of AF not showing up, I'll see if my RE will let me come in for a blood test. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. It is still possible that AF is late like last month.

    @bluestriped bee: I am hoping that this is it for you. And your husband is just too darling! I got a very late positive with Ellie after getting many, many negatives (on several different brands of tests with varying sensitivity). Same with Lorelei. It wasn't quite as late with her that I got my positive, but I was getting negatives at 10 dpo.

    I've been cramping off and on for the past week. Every time I feel cramps, I think AF is going to show up the next day. The last two days, I've felt warmth in the stomach area. I know I shouldn't symptom spot because I've had all sorts of 'pregnancy symptoms' over the past 15 months of TTC. It does feel a little different this month, though. Just a little. As always, I'm trying not to get my hopes up if AF shows up tomorrow.

    @bluestriped bee: Do you feel them mostly at night? Not to get your hopes up, but there is an outside possibility that it's implantation. I was never much of a crampy person, and I suddenly got them a couple days before my BFP. But be aware, the later the implantation, the higher the risk of resulting in miscarriage. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
