AF is expected today. It's just so hard seeing his text come through wondering if we still have a chance. I don't have to heart to tell him again. He is just waiting like I am. But he is more hopeful that we could still be pregnant and I know that we aren't.
I tested two days ago on 12 DPO and it was BFN.
DH: We still in the running for being pregnant?
Me: Yeah, still waiting on my period.
DH: Good!

he might just be trying to keep things light too. Even after I get my period Dh is like you can still be pregnant! Um. No, hun, not possible. Love you for the optimism though!

You know I read about a study showing that men and women view long-term IF differently...that men see each unsuccessful cycle as one more step towards parenthood while women see it as a form of bereavement. It can get frustrating that they don't see things the same way we do!

I'm sorry.... that is really tough.
I know its hard to share negitive news, but maybe being up front when you test, so he can expect and be ready for negitive news would be helpful.

@locavore_mama: He is usually not the most optimistic guy. Rather the opposite. I think he really thinks we could still be pregnant.
@spaniellove: yeah, he definitely sees this differently. That's why it so hard to break it to him.
@T.H.O.U.: @looch: yeah, he knows it was negative when I tested 2 days ago. He even is noticing my lack of PMS symptoms. He said that I wasn't moody or PMSing this cycle and I had to tell him that I haven't been moody for the past 3 months. I think he is grasping as straws here. He is starting to symptom spot my symptoms.
