I started babysitting the summer before high school. I've always really enjoyed it. Right now I babysit 20 month old twins every couple of weeks for a half day.

Oh yeah I LOVED babysitting in high school and college- loved the kids (most of them!) and also the cash!

Only when I was a younger teenager. The summer I was 13 I had two different families split me for a full time position (I watched one family's 2 kids 3 days per week and the other family's 2 kids 2 days per week). Which looking back I think is INSANE that they trusted me to watch their kids 10 hours/day but I only charged them $3 per hour so I guess they got a good deal considering I kept their kids fed and alive (if totally over saturated in tv). That summer SUCKED though and I quit babysitting and vowed to not have kids. I still occasionally babysat on a weekend or something through hs but it wasn't regular. I haven't watched a child in the last decade, and I hadn't ever watched a baby before. Was totally unprepared for a baby lol.

I nannied for a few years prior to my first pregnancy. And I started babysitting when I was 13, so I did that up until then as well. I'm really glad to have had all that experience! DH has barely held a baby, and never changed a diaper or anything, so he's way more intimidated by becoming a parent.

I was 13 and in middle school.

Oldest of 4 and my mom watched other children too, so lots of kids to watch when I was young. In highschool I was the one people would call to watch sick kids and I did a lot of all weekend babysitting. Post college I was a nanny two days a week for years, and watched babies and school agreed kids. I know it's going to be so different to have my own child, but I am grateful for all the time I've spent with babies and kids.

Yes, I babysat a lot from 12 until I started college. I babysit now that I have a LO but its mostly trading favors with friends, no moola.

As a younger teen I babysat children. I only babysat a baby in a diapers once.

As a young teen I babysat some neighborhood kids. After college, I worked as a nanny for 2 years. That said, I never babysat any kids under the age of 2, so having my own babies was a new experience.

Yep. All through high school and then a bit afterwards.

I took care of my sister a lot growing up. She is 9 years younger than me. I would also watch other kids but was never paid.

I worked as a child care provider at a women's gym when I was a teenager. Then, while we were TTC, I nannied for a good friend's 1-year-old!

I babysat older kids for pocket money during the school year when I was 16+. Other than that, no.

A little when I was younger, like early teens. My mom got me into it. I never really liked it, and I actually don't care for kids much at all, lol.
