I felt like I smelled bad but that's about it! I took it for about 4 months. Poor DH lol

I smelled like pancakes and couldn't stand it! I also thought I was producing excess foremilk as a result of fenugreek, but I don't know for sure...

Subbing! Just bought some since I was at Whole Foods and just wanted to have it on hand in case. Is the smell really strong? Anyone else experience itching? That might make me not take it!

@shopaholic: I didn't think it was THAT bad. I mean, there were so many changes happening postpartum that smelling like weird syrup wasn't at the top of my list of concerns. I didn't stop taking it because of the smell.

I hated smelling like syrup, but even worse, it gave me GI upset (badly). I couldn't stay on it!

Yes! Smelled like syrup. I also developed (or it helped enlarge) a goiter from taking it with a thyroid condition I didn't know I had at the time. You are not supposed to take it if you have a thyroid condition or any issues with blood sugar!!!! It's also related to peanuts and made DS very sick. We had to stop taking it and things started to improve.

I didn't smell but I also didn't think it worked! I has no idea about the thyroid thing. Just as we'll I don't plan to try it this time. Maybe it just doesn't work on some people?

@Mrs. Jacks: aw man... My tummy has been upset lately and I keep telling myself it's not the More Milk Plus causing it!! Honestly, it works so well I think I'll deal with the tummy trouble I have to!

@MamaMoose: Let's just say that my issues weren't something tolerable

@anbanan15: I had a thyroid condition years ago and I have GD right now...I better double check with my Dr. before I start popping the fenugreeks!! Thanks!

i took a high dosage of fenugreek and didn't have any problems! i guess my breath smelled a little maple syrupy, but i don't think i smelled too strongly like it?

@Mrs. Jacks: haha well alright then. Just hoping its not going to cause any tummy issues for M since we already have worries there!!

@Mrs. Jacks: Did you try any other supplements?

I didn't have any trouble with it, but it upset DD's tummy. I liked More Milk Plus so much better.

@autumnlove: This was at the end of my desperately trying to get milk for M. period, and so I decided to go off the supplement and let nature take it's course.

You may smell like you rolled around in an IHOP kitchen. I did. I smelled like syrup strongly enough that people around me would crave waffles and not quite know why. And it didn't help nearly as much as the more milk special blend, which didn't make me scented. It didn't cause any problems for my daughter, though.

My sisters baby was really gassy and colic-y when she was on it - he was better within days of being off it so we're assuming it was a reaction to her taking fenugreek.
I've never had any issues with taking it.

Syrupy smell and colicky baby. If we would have read up on it sooner, I would have discontinued it in favor of MMP. Once I went off of straight fenugreek, LO became less gassy in general. I'm on MMP now. It doesn't seem to effect his gas now. Since I went on fenugreek from day 4 on, we didn't realize that it was part of what was causing the colic and gas misery. Things you learn later on.

@cascademom - what's MMP? All I can guess is that it's More Milk Plus, but that has fenugreek so I'm thinking I'm wrong ...

I for sure had a maple syrup smell, but I kind of liked it! lol!

I had some funky Bo. I might have offended some people but I needed to boost my supply

@Ginger333: Yep, it's More Milk Plus. The formulation is so much better than straight fenugreek. He seems less gassy on it than fenugreek alone.

@cascademom - I'll let my sister know I didn't recommend it because of the fenugreek in it but I love MMP! TY

@Ginger333: I've been on MMP for awhile. His gas definitely improved with his age and the different formulation. I don't worry about his gas with MMP like I did with fenugreek.
