My milk started to come in yesterday and since then I've been extremely engorged and even nursing doesn't help much. Did anyone else have this and how many days did it take to become more comfortable?

Yes!!! I had to pump first because my breasts were so hard LO couldn't latch. It only lasted a day or two.

Yes! It only lasted a day or so. Keep the milk moving- feed baby a LOT- to help avoid mastitis. Also apply warm packs and gentle massage can help.

Yes. I used warm compresses before nursing and they helped a lot.

Yes. It lasted about three days for me. I wanted to regulate supply/demand, so I didn't pump. Warm showers or compresses and frequent feedings helped.

Yes, it lasted a few days. I purposely didn't pump so I wouldn't have too much of an oversupply. I started pumping when R was a week old instead.

Same as @rattles:. Took a couple of days, warm compresses, warm showers and frequent nursing helped.

It lasted about three days for me. I pumped to relieve the pressure if she was asleep and to build my freezer stash.

I had extreme oversupply so I had engorgement for quite some time. I'm sure it'll only be a few days for you, but don't hesitate to get in touch with an LC if it becomes really painful or persists for more than a week. I struggled on thinking it was normal to be as engorged as I was and as soon as I saw an LC we were able to come up with a good plan to manage it.
Chilled cabbage leaves and diapers dipped in water, frozen and applied to breasts really helped. If you're super engorged and getting painful let-down with hot showers you may want to switch to lukewarm showers.

Yes, it lasted around 4 days. Even wearing a shirt hurt. I was also leaking milk all day every day for the first few weeks.

Yes I had it for a week. I just walked around wanting to cry because it was so uncomfortable. I took lots of hot showers. Hang in there!

Yes. It was awful. Lasted about a week and then came back during the 3 week growth spurt.

No, but I leaked a LOT the first few days. Also had painful letdown for a few weeks as well.
Hope it gets better soon!
