no way not at all. i went in to labor the day before charlie's due date and he was born on his due date, but for some reason i was so laid back about wondering when he was going to come.

olive came 5 weeks early so i was completely unprepared!

I was so totally wrong.
I thought I'd go late.
I went 2 weeks early.
I had zero intuition about this.

nope! had no idea when it was coming.
thought I'd be early both times and was wrong!

@photojane: Oh nevermind I misread your comment about being 5 weeks early and thought that meant you would be 5 weeks early -- not that you were responding to Mrs. Bee lol. Man I hope this kid comes soon because I am mega spacey!

I've got feelings about a lot of things, but I have no idea if they'll come true.
I think I'm going to go into labor a week early, I think the baby is going to be six pounds, I think my labor will be reasonably short (like 10-12 hours), and I think I'm going to probably pass out a few times in recovery.

Then again... those are all fairly optimistic ideas based on knowing my body pretty well.

@photojane: I really need to write things down because I'm already forgetting. I believe I was like 3.5cm dilated and 80ish% effaced.

Yep, every day for about 3 weeks, lol. Just like I was so sure there wouldn't be a second line and that I was having a girl...

My mom actually called it, the night before, because I was obsessively trying to clean out my water pitcher and yelled at her when I told her to shut up when she was telling me to leave it be.

ETA: Obviously my intuition sucks.

I was certain I'd go late, days/weeks late, she came almost 3 weeks before her due date. I was not prepared, and I was also certain she was a boy.

For some reason I always anticipated delivering at around 38 weeks. The closer I got though, the more I prepared myself to go the full 40 weeks or more. I was pretty shocked when my water actually broke at 38 weeks because by that point I really was starting to think I'd be pregnant forever!!!
