I've heard conflicting theories on this. Some people say that your body holds on to some extra pounds while you're breastfeeding and won't drop them until you wean, and others say that breastfeeding helps keep your weight down.

I'm planning on introducing cow's milk in a few months when E turns 1, and weaning him slowly. I've lost all my pregnancy weight, but could stand to lose a little more, but I'm so protective of my supply, I don't want to do anything now that could hurt it.

What was your experience with your weight during/after weaning?
