DS just started sleeping for a 6 hour stretch this week. I've been pumping about 3 hours in for the past few nights but wouldn't mind sleeping instead. Will this affect my supply though?

Go sleep. I didn't pump until LO was seven months. My supply has been perfect from the beginning.

LO has slept through the night the majority of the time since 3 months and I've never pumped at night. Close to 7 months and no supply issues.

Never. I sleep when the baby sleeps. But, I've always had supply issues because I have a really good sleeping baby...so it is a toss up for me on which was better. Although I did like all that sleep

Hell. No. To me supply = what the baby needs. So if the baby is sleeping, he/she will regulate and tell your body what he/she needs during the day hours and your body will ante up!

Nope. I usually will pump right before I go to bed though just so I'm not super engorged in the mornings. It took about 2 months for my supply to regulate so I'm not painfully engorged anymore.

Unless you are really struggling with supply issues, sleep! Your body will get used to your baby's schedule and make what they need when they need.

There was a magical period in my life when L STTN 9-10 straight hours every night and I would pump one side in the morning, I bulg a stash that way. Did I ever wake up to pump? Heck no!

The first time C slept for more than 6 hours I was so engorged I had to get up to pump, but otherwise no. Your body will adjust but if you keep pumping it will think you need the milk then. It would be a good way to build a stash though, since you have the most in the early morning. I value sleep more.

OK, I'm taking your advice and skipping the pumping tonight! Yay, sleep

Nope! Xander goes 8-9 hours between feeds now at 6 months and I don't ever pump between! Sometimes I'll pump right after his last feed for the night if I feel like he didn't empty me, and I always wake up VERY full, but it hasn't affected my supply at all! Get some sleep, lady!

Sleep woman LO has been STTN for 3 weeks now and I just pump in the morning when she gets a bottle. Supply is all good.
