Just curious if anyone's LO skipped the sippy entirely and went straight to drinking from a cup.

My son went from bottle to straw cup. He was ok with it.

I was just talking with my ND about this today, sippy cups are a pretty recent creation (mostly for parents to make our now busier lives easier) but most little ones can be weaned right to a regular cup. My Grandma actually weaned my dad from breast to a shot glass!!! Our LO uses a straw cup for water, but I'm thinking about trying to break out a real cup for her to see how she does.

We skipped the zippy cup and went to straw cups instead. She still drinks formula from a bottle though. Not sure how we are going to wean her off of that....

We went straight to a regular cup. It gets pretty messy but L hates her sippy cup and refuses to use it.

we went straight from bottles to straws. It's great because if you're out and about you can just buy a water or milk and stick a straw in it.
