My 7.5 month old son is so alert, and very mobile. He is super easily distracted during the day and I'm finding it hard to get him to nurse properly. I do feed him in the dark nursery at home, which helps but still is a challenge. At one point he was down to 1-2 wakeups per night, but is now back to around 3. He feeds much better at night, and the more focused night feeding in addition to the increased wakeups are making me think maybe he's trying to get all his milk at night.

It's making me consider switching to pumping and bottle feeding in the day, because he takes bottles really well and then just gets on with playing. I've been resisting this a bit because pumping isn't as easy as breastfeeding, but bf is not easy right now either. I'm going back to work when he's about 10.5 months so I will be pumping at least a little by then anyway.

Anyway, I'm just looking for thoughts/advice/commiserations - will this just pass soon? Should I just switch to pumping and get on with it? Is there another option I haven't thought of? He drives me nuts with all the pulling off the boob constantly!
