LO is 6.5 months, and has been increasingly harder to keep focused on nursing for the last couple of months. During the day he is constantly distracted, looking around, popping off and on, etc. We only nurse in a darkened quiet room and i don't talk or anything. But our sessions are noticeably shorter and shorter. It seems like he eats just enough not to be hungry so he can go on with playtime.
Not coincidentally I'm sure, he has also gone from sleeping through the night to two night wakings, where he eats ravenously for 15-20 minutes. I'm sure he needs these feedings as he is not eating a lot during the day, and at his 6 month checkup he had dropped down significantly on the growth chart. The doctor was slightly concerned and said to really focus on getting him to eat more during the day. I'm concerned about his weight gain but I'd also like my night sleep back! Any tips?
