There have been a few times lately where I've fed the girls dinner and waited until they were in bed to eat. Not going to lie, it's made dinner a lot less stressful at times BUT I do enjoy sitting with them (when they aren't asking for a million things) and eating dinner.
Do you always eat dinner with your LO, or do you sometimes/always eat at different times?

Almost always. We are all early eaters, though, so we all eat around 5/530

I would say 95% of the time I sit down and eat something with them. But sometimes on special occasions well grab take out after they go to bed. Or during a particularly rough week, DH might bring takeout home when he gets home at 9pm.

Absolutely! My youngest is in feeding therapy, so they promote eating as a family. Plus my oldest won't eat until everyone is at the table.

We always eat together, but we're lucky to have a nice evening schedule (everyone is home by 5pm, we eat at 6:30ish). The only night we don't is when I go to yoga & I eat after our son is in bed (but he and husband have dinner together). Our son is 3 & this has been or routine since he was 2 or so? I don't know what it'll look like when LO2 arrives but i hope we can still eat together.

Yep. He's not stressful to eat with though. He eats what we eat and usually does a good job. If he doesn't, we don't fight him. So mealtime is still calm.

If I'm home we all eat together as a family.
I do save dessert for after bedtime though

We eat together as a family almost every night. Occasionally we'll get takeout and wait til she's in bed to eat.

Rarely. Dh isn't home by bedtime, so while I could eat with her and give him leftovers, it's nicer for us to eat our dinner together, then usually she gets the leftovers the next time. I feel like we should more often, but I do eat breakfast and lunch with her every day, and we eat at least one dinner as a family on the weekends. She's a good eater so I'm ok with it.
Eventually I know we will have to change but for now it's just nice to be able to eat a meal with my husband. If he was home earlier I would do family dinner more.
Dh and I are also late eaters- before baby we still would eat at 8.

Yes, always, unless we are going out on a date night or something. Since we work and she's in daycare all day, we don't get that much family time during the work week so eating dinner together is important to us.

Only on the weekend. During the week my husband gets home from work right before bed time when LO has already eaten. He plays with her and then one of us does bed time while the other on starts working on our dinner and then we eat together after she's asleep.

When DH is home, we eat after she goes to bed. I will eat with her most nights when it is just us. We usually eat together on the weekends.

Always. I like eating dinner together as a family. I'll admit that I've been skipping out on breakfast lately because it's hectic getting the kids out the door for school.

Unless I'm not home, I eat dinner with DS. We try to eat as a whole family as much as possible.

Yes, we always do. It would make things easier if we didn't, but I guess it never occurred to me to do it any other way. That was the way we always ate dinner growing up, so that's what we do.

We always eat together, except for those rare moments when I'm sick or caught a late bite to eat at school, but even then, we sit together.

We always "eat" together. Sometimes I'm the only one really eating, sometimes they eat really well but all plates are tabled and we sit down at the same time to eat. I don't force them to eat though.

95% of the time we do unless we're having a later dinner with friends or something so I feed him a snack/light dinner first. If I do, I still sit with him while he eats. It's rare he'll let me not sit with him anyhow. Glad we enjoy each other's company!

Before DS2 was born, we only ate together on the weekends. And I knew I wanted to change that but with both of us working and not getting home until 5:45, it was a lot easier to feed DS1 and then make our dinner after he went to bed.
Once DS2 was born and I was on maternity leave, I made it a point to eat together as a family. It is so ridiculously stressful and even more so now that I'm back at work since I somehow need to get home, feed the baby, and finalize the meal so we can eat by 6:15. Most of the time, I have to just shovel food into my mouth since the baby is hungry and/or tired and I just need to get through dinner so we can start bedtimes. But, I love it. I love that we're feeding DS1 better food and that he's come to love it as well. On the rare occasion that we don't all eat together, he gets upset.
