Do indulge if you are a breastfeeding mama? Do you pump and dump?
(I don't mean when you are actually breastfeeding like taking shots with one hand while supporting baby on the boob with the other)

Yep, and I've never done a pump and dump. From what my doctor told me (supported by some VERY LIGHT research online) alcohol metabolizes out of your BM essentially the same way it does out of your blood. I would usually wait until after I fed her to indulge in a beer or some wine, and never more than 1 or 2 glasses. My doc told me 'if you're safe to drive you're safe to nurse' knowing that the legal limit in Ontario is very low.

Yes but not much. I'll have one small glass of wine or one beer and stop at that. Even during the super bowl I had just one beer. That took some strength to stop during that game...

Yes and I do not pump and dump. I don't drink enough to get drunk, so I think it's ok.

Yes, not really the first three months per what I read on Kellymom, but now I have a glass of wine or a beer here and there. I try to time it right after a feeding but if I feel sober I don't sweat it. Never pumped and dumped.

Yes, and I don't pump and dump. My LC told me that as long as I feel fine (and not tipsy), then it is fine to BF my LO.

Nope. I have low supply though so I refuse to do anything that might taint my small supply where I couldnt feed it to lo

I don't pump and dump. I wait until after she is asleep. In teh early days I just didn't bother because I was always nervous that she would wake up.

I do... the LC running our breastfeeding class told us we could breastfeed 2 hours after having one alcoholic beverage. So I will have a glass of wine or a beer after E has gone to bed for the night. I've only pumped and dumped once. I was at a festival all day with DH while we had a babysitter and had a few beers while we were there. I was so engorged when we got home I had to pump, but that milk was for sure tainted.

Yup, I'll have a glass of wine once a week or so. I have never pumped and dumped. My pedi told me it was actually best to drink WHILE breastfeeding, so I've done that a few times!

Not until about six months. Then I knew I could feed her and put her down for awhile before she would wake up. Then I might have a glass of wine. It was pretty limited though maybe once a week

I will occasionally have a small drink after Baby has gone to bed for the night but I'm not a big drinker anyway

I have had a beer or a glass or two of wine. The only time I drank more than that was when we left her with MIL for NYE. I had 3 drinks early on, and then switched to water. I was stone cold sober by the time I got home, so I didn't pump and dump. I never have.
