Spinach? Kale? Carrots?

Oh yes, onions, mushrooms, peppers. Its pretty much the best place to hide them!

Spinach, zucchini are the unusual ones. Peppers, mushrooms, and onions are pretty standard for us.
I use carrots in my meatloaf mix.

I purposefully add a bunch of veggies in my sauce because of the yummy factor! DD doesn't mind, either!

All the time! We add grated anything to our ground meat or pasta sauce. Carrots & zucchini are our go-tos.

No, I'm the ridiculously picky one in the family, so if those get snuck in everyone knows to not tell me about it, haha.

LO is good with veggies, so I don't have to hide them for her to eat them, but she *loves* pasta sauce so I figure it's a vehicle for extra veggies. I make her pasta sauce out of pureed carrots, sweet potatoes, other veggie and then diced tomatoes. Free veggies!!

I love the texture of adding puréed veggies like squash, sweet potatoes, carrots or parsnips. I also add chopped onion, celery and red pepper and simmer it for a couple hours to let it get all rich.

@wonderstruck: Me too! Plus I do all the cooking so there's no hiding going on in my kitchen!

I love the theory of this, but LO doesn't really love pasta sauce

@Mrs. Confetti: ha, my LO doesn't either but it's good for us grown ups too

@Mrsjets: that is so true - wish I wasn't so lazy - I just dump a jar of preggo and eat.

My standard pasta sauce is always loaded with veg anyway (carrots, capsicum, courgettes, onions, and usually a few other odds and ends) so LO, being the little pasta eating machine that she is, gets a healthy dosing of veggies every time we have pasta. I don't purée the veg, I just dice it in the food processor before adding it to the sauce and we're good to go!

Nope, I am a purist. I only like sauteed onions and shallots in my tomato sauce.
I make other kinds of veggie pasta, though, with peas, broccoli, primavera, etc.

DD loves her veggies, so it's not a problem for us, however, getting her to eat proteins is. So I try to hide meat in it! But it doesn't always work (like today).
