I weaned in September and I definitely miss the bonding time with LO. I don't miss pumping!

I definitely do. I didn't think I would when I got started, but by the end I was really sad. Sometimes I still think about what would happen if I offered it to him, even though there's nothing left!

LO decided to end our "relationship" a few weeks back (he's now 9 months).
I am missing it .... but I am also glad that I no longer have to worry before feeding times because I no longer need to wonder if he'd nurse this time or if he'd burst out and cry. I think he might have completely forgotten how to nurse anymore now ...
I am not sure why it is so hard for me to get over it!

I am nearly finished weaning, and we're not completely done and I already miss it... but alas, my supply couldn't keep up, and now I just do one night feeding with DS (actually really early morning - 5 am-ish - he's 5.5 mos). I could probably break the extra feed before morning with a little sleep training, but that would basically end nursing, and I still love that snuggle time. *tear*

Yes....I switched to exclusively pumping at 6 weeks when it became too stressful because LO and I couldn't get into a good groove. Part of me wishes we stuck it out longer....

@winniebee: I feel the exact way. I just felt like I'd prepared so much and I wasn't as confident as I thought I'd be! I plan to try harder with baby #2

I made it to a year which helped a lot bc my husband can feed her and I don't have to pump. However I still sometimes miss that "milk drunk" expression!
