How do you know if they're crying because of indigestion/overfeeding rather than some other reason? Yesterday, i noticed that LO had garlicky breath...could that be a sign?
Ahhh, why do solids stress me out??

I worry about her eating too much all the time! So far so good!
Solids can be stressful!

@autumnlove: I figure she'll tell me when she's had enough, so i usually will keep feeding her until she puts her hands up. Is there a guideline on how much they should be eating at a certain age? I'm so stressed!

@mrbee: I stress out even more when she refuses EVERYTHING i try to offer her.

@caffeinated: There probably are but I just end meal time when she starts feeding the dog or when she takes off her Baby Bjorn bib!

@mrbee: haha, but Olive is a great eater!
@autumnlove: i'd love it if my LO could signal end of mealtime that way!

@caffeinated: When Olive is done eating, she starts throwing her food on the floor!

Yeah, your baby will tell you when they're full. That isn't something you need to teach them.

@sarac: I know it's not something to teach LO but i sometimes wonder if i'm not reading her "full" cues properly. For instance she'll put her hands out and refuse food, but after a couple of minutes i'll offer her something else and she'll happily take it. So confusing!

@caffeinated: My 15 month old does this, and it drives me CRAZY! I didn't want to be one of those parents who heckles their child to eat, ever. But now I know that she's often just tired of sitting in her high chair, so I encourage her to eat more. I think that if your child is eating willingly, they're still hungry.
Mine is very clean when she's really done. She does this huge exaggerated head turn. She's a tiny drama queen, it's adorable.
