I feel like there can be somewhat of a stigma in the online community, unfortunately (not HB), but not in real life!
In the area I live, people constantly say things to me like "Wow, you're STILL breastfeeding?" Or "WHEN you start her on formula, she'll start sleeping better." My MIL is a daycare provider and she says she wishes all her babies were formula fed.
What do you think? If you do feel there is a stigma, why?
we tried but my lo kept losing weight weeks after he was born and my supply was so low even after breastfeeding every 2 hours and i was lucky to get a ounce a day total with pumping (multiple times a day pumping).... but i do feel judged bc i dont breast feed and i am embarrased it couldnt work out but my lo is thrving on formula and his health (Weight gain) is super great now. but i def feel like a failure.
most of my mom friends are in portland though.
