If you got a "free" pump through insurance for LO#1 were you eligible to get another for subsequent children?
I paid $75 co-pay for a pump in style....I would do it again in a heartbeat to not have to lug it back and forth from work!!!

Yes, I get one per pregnancy. I like that Medela has a recycling program for old pumps so I'll probably keep buying their pumps.

Yep. I got another PISA. Totally free. I EP'd with #1 so even though I didn't NEED it, I wanted it....and I can definitely tell the difference between the older and newer pumps....at 9.5 months I pump 1-2x a day still. Totally worth it to get it again. I'll get a third if we have a third. But probably will venture away from the PISA for fun ; )

@winniebee: I'm totally eyeing a spectra for next time; I've heard so many good things about it!

I qualify for another one- my insurance said t was per pregnancy or every three years or something confusing like that.
But since I sah I probably won't bother.

yup! One per pregnancy (although my first LO was born before the ACA passed, so I didn't get one through insurance for her).

@MrsF: yeah I didn't get a free one the first time either. Wel, technically I did since it was a gift.

I'm not eligible for another for 3 years and since we plan on a smaller gap than that, I won't get a new one with LO 2.

Yep. My insurance this time is 2 Pisa per year so I could technically get another though I've not been as happy with the insurance Pisa as the one I purchased myself

@Mrs.KMM: @Foodnerd81: I wonder if mine has a 3 year policy? All it says is "fully covered" - I hate calling them but I guess I'll have to!
So glad to hear so many got a second!
@kick641: I just read up on the recycling...love this...I'll donate both of mine after this next LO!

I got a Medela the first time around and I was eligible to get an Ameda the second time around but passed because I sahm and the Medela still works great...it's practically new since it got replaced near the end of the time I was pumping last time around!
If I was working I would absolutely get a second one as to avoid lugging it back and forth!

I just ordered my new one for DD2! Different insurance anyway so wasn't an issue.

Yes, it wasn't in effect for my first baby, but it was for the second. I got a free pump even though my first still worked fine (Hygeia) just in case I needed a backup. I left it sealed in the box and ended up donating it to my LC when my #2 turned a year old.

I'm trying to decide actually! My new insurance covers at 100% this time, it didn't last time, so I may get a new one since I plan on pumping for quite a while!

I should get another one for free. I got mine in may 2013 It will be at least 3 years between kids and I also switched insurance companies and who holds the policies.

Yep. I have such an oversupply problem that I've only ever used a hand pump, though, so I just donated my pump from my first pregnancy to a local nursing store so they could give it to someone who needs it. I'm keeping the other in case I need it (nursing a 3 month old now).

Yep, I did and loved having 2. My first one had seen better days so I kept it at home (normally only pumped if she slept longer) and kept my new one at work and brought it home on the weekends.
