Nope, no discounts if we're not there. As our director likes to remind us, she still needs to pay the bills. Would be awesome though!

We have to pay half. We used to get free days for being sick, but they stopped doing that.

We get 5 vacation days after we have been there for a year. We have to use them as a M-F week. We can't do partial weeks. Fortunately, they do let us use the free week and still send our kiddo (which we did last year when we earned the free week and she only had one week of daycare left before she moved to the elementary school).

No. We pay monthly and it is the same price regardless of when she goes. We also still have to pay the same price for December when they are closed for a whole week.

We no longer need daycare, but the one LO went to have you one sick day free a month and you could have a free vacation with 2 weeks' notice. Plus it was only $30/day for part-time care (what we used). It was amazing.

We are in-home; we only pay when he's there but have a min. of 15 hours/week.

Nope! We try to plan our trips during times her center is closed anyway

@josina: Even our in-home center always made us pay even if LO wasn't there.

@Mae: At our old place we paid for the whole MONTH of August when they were closed! (AND the month of December when they were also closed for a week...)

yes our preschool/daycare gives you two weeks a school year, equivalent to how many days you go after 3 months of attending. we've used our free days already for planned vacations.

I believe we get two weeks free.

oh man- 5 "vacation" days would be so nice. We still have to pay no matter what kind of a bummer cause we would have liked to take the week of Christmas off, and additionally save some money. Oh well..
