I do if it's a lot. I read somewhere that breast milk has something in it that helps keep bacteria from growing in it, and we haven't had any problems. I'll keep it in the fridge for her next feeding. What I've started doing to keep from having extra after a feeding is splitting what we defrost. Half goes into her bottle for feeding, the other half goes into a storage bottle in the fridge. Then if we need more, we use the other half. If not, we use it at the next feeding.

If he only takes a few sips of the bottle I will reuse - so painful throuwing out hard earned pumped milk! But if I warm it and he doesn't take it I won't put it back in the fridge. I threw away 3 oz yesterday too and was ticked.

yup! you can keep it in the fridge for three days.

@jennylynn: I've been splitting up what we've defrosted too! I do it almost always now because LO drinks slower and not as much from the bottle.
