I tasted it when I was breastfeeding Charlie, and it had a sweet taste.
Have you tasted your breastmilk, or is that just too gross?

I've tasted it many many times. It's sweet! I try all the food I make my baby too.
I made my husband try my milk a couple of times. HAHA.

I never did and I regret it. I may not have #2 so I may never know. Oh well!

I haven't, I'm kind of skeeved by it. My husband has, though!
Have any of you watched the new Tia & Tamera show? One of the last episodes Tia drank her breastmilk, she said her husband loved it (to the point where he wanted his own supply!), and Tamera tried and liked it also.

Yes I have. I think the episode of Friends where they drink Carol's breastmilk made it acceptable. My husband was hesitant at first, but he eventually tried it.
Now I wonder if anyone has tried formula. I never did when I had to supplement the first month.

This made me think of that friend's episode too! It is weird to think about it, but I don't see a problem with people trying their own supply---I would never consider trying someone elses though. That's just far too unsanitary and certain diseases can be transmitted through breastmilk.

I've tried mine. I wanted to know what my son was drinking. It's very sweet. The frozen milk, though, is disgusting, but I have an excess lipase issue, which isn't common. I've also tried formula out of curiosity -- that tastes like paste.

Ha! I haven't yet, but now I'm interested. I joked with my hubs that I was going to squirt him in the eye the next time he pisses me off He acted like that was the nastiest thing ever!!

Yes, it's sweet when it's fresh. Frozen breastmilk, however, is hit or miss. Sometimes, it tastes just like the fresh stuff, other times, it has an awful aftertaste. I wonder what causes the difference since they are stored the same.

I've tasted a drop. Sweet indeed. But not sure i'd taste more.

I sampled a drop. I sort of have the belief that if I'm feeding my child something, it had better be something I'd be willing to put in my own body - even if it came from my body.
Did I drink a cup of milk? No. Did a squirt a drop on my finger to sample? Yup.

I tried a little, and it was sweet. My hubby refused. Hahaha.
Formula does not taste as good. Like a PP, it tastes like paste.

I never tried it - I probably won't with my next one either even though I'm sure it's normal to try your own.
A friend of mine was a nanny for a mom who pumped and added breast milk into the children's meals (the boys were 3 & 5). My friend was unaware of this so she ate some of their mac and cheese - she said it tasted sweeter than usual. But she was also completely grossed out...at least she hasn't gotten a cold since then, lol!

@Boogs: Yes!! I saw that and couldn't believe her sister willingly drank out of the pump cup, twice. "It's like a chai tea latte without the chai"...I had to tell that to my husband haha.
