Our spring conference is next week! I wonder what they will say about my 15 month old! The conferences start in the young toddler room..we never had them in the infant room.

We've only been in day care for a month but as far as I know they don't do this for the infants. But I pretty much have a parent/teacher conference with her teachers every day when I pick her up. It really weirds me out when I see people come to pick their kid up and barely acknowledge the teachers! I always chat with them because 1. It's polite 2. They are lovely people who I enjoy chatting with and 3. I think it's important to cultivate a relationship with your child care providers and I think it helps them feel more connected to my baby if they have friendly relationship with me!

Not that I know of.
I'm with @mamamoose. I don't understand it when I see parents come in, grab their kid and leave. Or when I see them drop the baby off and don't even say bye to the baby or the teacher! I think I get enough chatting in with the teachers now. I don't think they really need parent teacher conferences at this age...

Yes. We have them twice a year and they go over development, they show me photos of milestones and activities, we discuss next steps (when does he transition, what skill sets to look for, etc.) and discuss any issues we or they are noticing or need clarification on. I always like them. DS was 8 months at our first.
