LO is always asking for "snacks" when i pick her up, and will throw a mini-tantrum if i don't have anything. Ugh!!
Do you usually have something for your LO?

No, I don't like food in my car, but I always feed her right when we get home.

Yes, I have to bribe him to sit in his car seat so I always have raisins or some sort of dried fruit medley in the car.

No, but maybe that would solve some of my issues of getting her to walk to the car.

No, because I pick him up *right* after lunch.
I do have a stuffed animal specifically for the car though because he falls asleep right away and he likes to hug something:)

No. He gets fed right as he gets home. He talks all about food and water on the way home, but doesn't get any.

Sometimes I have 'fishies" waiting for her, helps with the tantrums of "pulling her away" from daycare.

No, but she does scream for dinner the second we step in the house. Maybe some car snacks would help!!

@CupQuakeWalk: Awww that's so sweet
My mom is my childcare and she has them for nap plus an hour (give or take) and she always feeds DS a snack when he wakes up from nap so I don't worry about it!

We're a 5 minute drive from home so he doesn't get snacks but right when I pick him up, he starts saying "More!" as that's what he says when he wants food.

No, but dinner is right when we get home and the drive is less than 5 minutes. HOWEVER, sometimes I'll have a drink for her because at the time I pick her up is usually when they're playing in the gym or playground and she's always huffing and puffing from running around.

no because it just makes them not want to eat dinner and they just beg for more snacks. i have dinner ready to eat as soon as they walk through the door.

I usually have a snack and two books to entertain her on the car ride home.

Oh yes, 10 minutes from home and if there's not water & snacks it's a freak out. Never mind that she gets a snack around 3 at daycare and DH picks her up around 4.

@locavore_mama: same here - snack at 3 - pick up at 430 and 10 min drive home - I always need to bring a small snack and drink - otherwise my DD will have a full blown tantrum over how hungry she is while waiting for dinner.

he has a snack at daycare about 30 minutes before i pick him up, so no, i do give him a cup of straw milk to sip on while i'm driving.
