We did in the infant room but you can wear shoes in the other rooms. LO 2 is one of 3 army crawlers in the young toddler room and they look so dirty at the end of the day!

I just went to tour the daycare I think we're going with and we only have to take off shoes in the infant room.

Nope. We toured one daycare where you had to take your shoes off or wear little booties and I didn't like how sterile and cold it was.

When we started LO they did not request people to take shoes off in the infant room. That is disgusting especially with how long our winter is. I sent the director a nice suggestive email and I was to see them put a mat with a note up asking parents to take off shoes before entering the infant room.
With infants crawling and picking things up and putting it in in their mouth it's pretty unhygienic to not take off your shoes!

Nope. When she was in the infant room, they had a sticky mat at the door.

For the infant room you have to wear booties over your shoes - and yep I was guilty of heading to work wearing them several times!
