Such as making it look like an animal, cutting it into fun shapes etc. I've never done this, but I think my toddler would get a kick out of it. I'm the least bit creative though so I could see it turning into a giant fail!
Do you make your LO's food fun/interesting or do you just serve it up as is? If you do make it fun do you find that they eat it better?

Nope. I will cut her sandwiches according to her specific requests but that's just to avoid a meltdown.

Nope. Way too time consuming, and I don't want to end up in a position where she'll only eat it IF i put in maximum effort. It just looks like a lot of work.

My kids love it when I cut their bologna into "pizza slices"
And for Valentines day I usually make heart shaped food

Only on holidays (heart shaped pancakes on V-day ect.) but I just don't have the time to get super creative and she's a good eater. I could totally see her not wanting to eat "the pretty flower" ect. if I did something fancy.

Maybe once a week for fun. She's eating a ton right now so I barely have enough time to cook/prepare something and put it on a plate before she's screaming that she's starving lol. I do like to cut fruit, veggies and cheese into shapes sometimes because she gets a kick out of it.

My dad used to make bear pancakes (i.e., 1 big/2 little circles) for breakfasts when I was a kid. Turns out my FIL did the same with DH and BIL. Maybe it's a dad thing? They were both so proud of it, too! I think it was the only thing they could make; both my mom and MIL do all the cooking.

I've done it a couple times (butterfly sandwich, heart shaped cheese and lunch meat). Usually it's when her nap is taking a long time and I miss her... haha

I once made her snowman pancakes and she refused to eat it because it was too pretty. She finally ate it after I told her I would make more. Sheesh!
I make her open faced bear sandwiches for breakfast sometimes.

Same here, rarely if ever. I think when he's a little older he'll appreciate it more. My mom did during first grade with my lunches and I was delighted with sprinkles on my sandwiches. Right now I'm afraid of a flip out and just don't have the time to be creative with a baby and work.
