Ha, I do a sniff test on all pumped breastmilk before I offer it in a bottle.

I actually usually taste it too. DH thinks I'm gross, I think if I'm feeding it to my baby, why wouldn't I test it to make sure it's okay?

@katsupgirl: I only do it because my milk doesn't last long in the fridge...2-3 days before it smells weird!

Yep! And if it smells questionable, I taste it. Add that to the list of things I never thought I'd do before becoming a mommy!

I sniff/taste most everything.

When I would give him pumped milk I'd always smell and taste it. Not so much for everything else, though, since I feed him whatever I'm making for dinner.

Yep, I sniff EVERY bottle. Sometimes I taste too only because one time it smelled fine but when I tasted it, it was disgusting. I had to dump it. It was only in fridge for 3 days. Now I'm paranoid so would taste once in awhile to be sure even if it smells fine.

Haha I do this for all food I prepare, even for adults!
