I try to but I always pick my LO up around same the time as some really chatty parents who keep the teachers occupied!

Ah that's tough. Maybe get an update in the AM? I usually pick mine up late so I get the teachers all to myself and they tell me how the day was. But I talk to the head teacher in the AM if I'm not in a rush.

Not really - her good teacher is gone by the time I pick her up and her other teacher isn't a very good communicator, and sometimes she's actually with the older infant teacher who doesn't spend the day with her. DH gets to talk to the good teacher at drop off and usually gives me a report after that.

Yup. I'm usually the only parent there at 4:30. We chat, I get her stuff ready, sometimes ill wait if she's still napping and we talk about life.

No, all the other kids are still there bc I go earlier than other parents so they have their hands full. But they will tell me if something noteworthy happened that day.
