I've been using disposabe nursing pads by Lansinoh but it seems like I go through so many each week. Does anyone use washable nursing pads and what was your experience with them?

I have both... Used washable for awhile but what a pain to have to keep washing them! I leak so much I have to wash them at least daily. I think it's doable if u have at least 3 or 4 pairs. I have 2, but disposable is just easier. But I bulk ordered and have 3 boxes... Already used 2 and it's been a month.

I have both too. I bought reusable ones for night time but I leaked so much it often went through. The pack i bought came with 3 pairs so i was able to wash every other day. I only use the disposables now because of convenience. I'm on my 3rd month and I heard they stop leaking soon...

I am not BFing yet (due this week) but I have 6 pairs of reusable organic breast pads. Since DH bailed on the cloth diapering I am trying to be as eco-friendly as possible in all other areas.

The washable ones were super lumpy. I found they didn't work well for me.

I tried them and didn't like them at all. I soaked through them way too quickly.

I use washable, I have about 10 pairs, and go through 2 pairs per day. I have a couple different kinds, but find they all work about the same.

I loved my reusable ones. For day I used the Avent ones with the backing. They were very thing. For night, I would use the Johnsons and Johnsons with the Avent behind it (for leaking). I would wash them when I showered each day. Then tossed them in the dryer on the flat shelf. It worked fantastically for me. I stopped wearing them after about 4 months.

I used them and liked them. I'm not bfing anymore, but the other day I pulled two out to use since I was wearing a sports bra and it was a tad bit chilly! So they still come in handy

I use swimsuit inserts and they work for me, easy to clean with soap and water. I haven't had any issues with them and I like how they go with any bra and doesn't look lumpy. I also liked the disposable lansinol ones but thought they made a small crinkly noise.

yeah, I leak soo much so I use organic cotton nursing pads and they work great. I always let down most when I'm nursing on one side, so during one feeding I can soak an entire pad which is kind of a bummer but I keep several pairs on hand.
The disposables are definitely a little more absorbent, but obviously more expensive.

I like washable pads, but they aren't as absorbent, so I couldn't use them until my supply balanced out. I also super love lilypadz which are reusable silicone pads, they don't show at all under clothes.

I used washables. I have 8 pairs, which was about the right amount for me. I haven't needed them since about 3 months pp. I got an awful case of thrush while wearing disposables and think it was a contributing factor since they weren't all cotton. If you use disposables, I highly recommend making sure your brand is super breathIable/doesn't contain plastic. The reusable pads are thicker and tend to shift more, which is definitely a drawback.
