I'm a lefty and the hubs is a righty. Bets are on to see what our son will be. I have a preference for lefties. They usually are smart (er) and artistic.
Do you have a preference ?

The hubs and I are both right-handed but we think LO will be a lefty - she is showing preference for her left hand. My parents think it's adorable that she might be a lefty but my MIL is very upset at this - she thinks lefties are disadvantaged in life. Psh.

I don't think I care either way.
I'm a righty and I like to think I'm smart. And I have a degree in art, so I also like to think I'm artistic.

My husband is a lefty and I'm a righty. He says it can be difficult being a lefty in a righty world. But he still wants one of our future kids to be a lefty. I have no preference.

Apart from crappt scissors and having ink and liquid paper (when it was actually liquid) I didn't have issues with being a lefty.

We're both lefties and would probably like it if the babas were as well. DH's older bro and sis are both lefties as well, even though his parents are both righties- strange! Same as Blushink- other than soreness from stupid scissors, I wouldn't say it was any hindrance to me growing up.

DH is a lefty and I'm a righty. Righty's are so much better! J/k. Yeah, I don't really care.

I'm a lefty and at 10 months LO is already showing a major preference for her left hand. It doesn't matter to us either way though

Slight prefernce for the right. She seems to use her right hand more while coloring and holding her fork so I am guessing that's how it will go.

We'd rather LO be a righty. Ambidextrous would be awesome though.

@blushink: haha didn't realize you were so anti-rightist!!

No preference. My husband is a lefty and I am a righty. We are both quite artistic so I dont think which hand we use more has much to do with it I have noticed though that all the left-handed girls I know have very neat handwriting and all the left-handed boys I know have messy handwriting. I find that interesting.

i think i was supposed to be a lefty. but i'm a righty but i am stronger with some stuff with my left. i want my kids to be both! ambidextrous.

I don't care either way! my dad is a lefty, mom's a righty..brother and I are both righties.
ETA - @Mrs.Earrings: that's funny! my dad is a lefty, and he writes like a typewriter! super tiny block print, haha.

We are both lefties so it would be cool if LO was a lefty too but it's really not a big deal is she wasn't.

DH is a lefty. My mom is the only lefty of her siblings, yet she's the only one without any lefty kids. It'd be awesome if LO were a lefty, but I'm fine with it going either way.
@Mrs. Earrings: That's interesting because other than my mom, my experience is exactly opposite. DH, my guy cousins and friends who are lefty have very nice handwriting. My lefty girl cousins and friends have horrible penmanship!
