If you are the primary parent/caregiver, and you ask your SO to pack a lunch and snacks for the baby/young toddler, do they know how much to pack?
We left this morning at nap time to go to a city a couple of hours away. We didn't give him his mid-morning snack, since he's been getting car sick lately. We get to our destination and DH brings the food in with him so we can feed LO. He brought 2 applesauce pouches and a handful of dried cheese puffs. There was a little more in the car, but that's all he brought in for LO who hadn't eaten since 08:30 - it was now 14:30!
I've mentioned to him before that LO eats 3 decent sized meals plus his snacks, and to keep feeding him until he stops eating his meal, since he can't talk yet. A friend of mine mentioned that her husband has no concept of how much to feed her daughter now that she's eating more solids, so I guess this is fairly common? Has anyone else experienced this?
