My husband has to clean them for me now since the eczema on my hands is flaring up so bad. Guess I lucked out (even though my hands are so freaking itchy).

I'm still super new at it. But right now I actually find it kind of calming. Because LO is still so new and totally rocking my world when it comes to a daily schedule I find that doing things like laundry and dishes help me feel more normal.

I hate it so much. Tried using Playtex drop ins but LO hated those bottles!

Yep. I also hate (HATE) cleaning up after her when she eats. So messy, so gross

Ugh, yes and the Vent-Aire bottles are so gross when you take them apart

Haha yup!! and now I'm going to be even MORE thorough. I used to spend forever making sure they were super clean and then I'd let them dry over night on the boon grass, however I didn't pump for maybe a week and I went to pump, got done pumping, and there was MOLD in one of the parts. omg my skin still crawls, so now after ordering new parts I am really going to be checking my parts and bottles! ick.

I stick the pump parts in the fridge all day and at the end of the day I stick all the parts and all bottle pieces (and pacis) into the dishwasher on "hot wash/heat dry" and walk away. I totally gave up on washing them by hand.

YES. For some reason, cleaning pump parts was So much more annoying than washing any other type of dishes. Hence my resistance to pumping at all.

I don't mind it.
But to be fair, I work a lot longer hours than DH, so he does almost ALL the other housework so I feel like I should do SOMETHING to help out.

I hate it. Dr brown bottles are such a pita to wash

@Bao: Ahhh! I wish I wouldn't have read that!
I hate the pump parts the most. I feel like it's next to impossile to get into all of little nooks and it's just super time consuming!

Yes. It's awful. I hate Dr. Brown's bottles. When DD was really little I had to wash 8 of those each day plus washout pump parts 2x each day. It made me hate my life.

I have 2 sets of pump parts and just use the dishwasher. I check the pieces for mold. I use the steam/sterilize bags once a week maybe. I don't think it's so bad though... Just bc I use the dishwasher. If I hand washed it all, I'd be over it real quick!

Yes! I'm getting so tired of everything pump related and I'm only 6 months in.

I use the sanitize cycle on the dishwasher. Its still a pain to take everything apart and put it all back together.

I do hate it--I have two sets and alternate. One day I came home to find them clean--our nanny washed them and now she washes them every day. I lucked out!

I hate cleaning my pump parts and bottles! Why do Dr. Brown's bottles come with SO MANY parts?!?! I'm supposed to be washing them right now but... I don't wanna!!!!

In addition to everything above - why are there no tools to clean pump parts? I feel like the world is discriminating against pumpers!
