I know my baby understood that swaddle meant sleep. Trying to get him to understand now that sleep sack = sleep. Do you think that babies understand that?

OMG, yes. There have been times when I was holding laundry in the middle of the day and she would see me folding up one of her sleep sacks and she would automatically start sucking her thumb and yawning. It's TOTALLY a Pavlov's dog sort of thing in our house right now.

Yes, the sleep sack and lovely are total sleep tools. Plus, we only put her in the crib when she goes to sleep. The other day we were playing around before bed time and I put her in the crib- she was going full force, and then I put her in the crib and she was ready for bed!!

yes most definitely. olive and charlie loved their sleep sacks! we used to go out with charlie's sleep sack and put him in it in the stroller, and he'd fall asleep!

Oh yes. I hold up his sleep sack and tell him, "It's sleepy sack time." And he starts to rub his eyes

Well tonight when I put t in it he started crying - so I think he knew it was bed time LOl!

I dunno... we do sleep sack at bedtime, and DD usually goes right down. Maybe we should try it for naps too. The only problem is that I never really know if / when DD is actually going to go down for a nap. She's a tricky one!

@winniebee: LOL. I better work faster on my sleep sacks! I think he knows that his footy-pjs are for bedtime .... some days but not every day.
