For instance if you drink coffee does your LO stay awake, if you drink soda are they gassy, etc.?
I can't tell yet if Olive is affected, or whether it doesn't really matter what you eat.

In the beginning deviled eggs made his farts and poo smell REALLY bad. Now, nothing seems to bug him.

I try not to drink caffeine right before breastfeeding & to not drink too much in general, but nothing really seems to bug DD.

Nothing I eat seems to affect LO. I drink coffee in the morning, have Coke every now and then, eat cabbage, etc. and LO seems to be fine.

I haven't started drinking caffeinated coffee yet, but I do have a soda here and there sometimes. I did have a glass of wine recently too close to feeding time and she refused!

I will say yes even though I dont know from personal experience. My friend posted on facebook how she drank several cups of coffee one day and breastfed her baby and the baby would not sleep that evening. Maybe it was just a coincidence? but then lots of other moms responded to her post and said they had had similar experiences

I haven't noticed one way or the other. I drank a lot of coffee pre-pregnancy, and cut back to one cup a day during pregnancy. I looked it up after DS was born 8 weeks ago and saw an article that said it shouldn't affect your baby one way or the other unless you drink more than 8-9 cups a day. Geez! I never drink that much. So I just drink as much as I want to.
Caveat: I am mostly pumping so it has been hard for me to notice relationships with what I eat - I never know which pumping session he is getting the milk from.

I've never been able to tie fussiness or problems to what I eat/drink. But I'm not that observant.

I drink one cup of coffee, occasionally two, a day and haven't noticed anything. Only about 1% gets into the milk supply. She hasn't seemed bothered by anything I eat. Once I thought she was getting bothered by some of the spicy foods I ate so I cut back but it was just a weird gas thing that went away on it's own and didn't come back even after I started eating spicy again.
Kellymom has some good advice on what to look for if baby is sensitive to caffeine.

I've incorporate caffeine back into my diet and I haven't noticed any changes in LO. I can never really tell though, what I eat/drink is affecting her versus her just being off.

Cameron gets mostly formula at this point due to my milk supply being almost non-existant but when he does get my milk I find he's less fussy or gassy and much more alert no matter what I eat.

Yes! DS reacts to nearly EVERYTHING I eat and drink (down to eating 5 foods), so yes, I see major changes in him depending on what I eat/drink...sleep distrubances, vomiting, blood in stools, fussiness, gas, rashes...you name it, we see it.
That being said, caffine from coffee or the occasional soda do not seem to bother him or if they are bothering him it's nothing compared to the other foods/drinks.
