On a few occasions, we have tried to bring T into bed with us (if he has a super early wakeup or, like this morning, he was sick). He doesn't sleep in our bed! He basically thinks its playtime. Anyone else have a baby who doesn't sleep in their bed?

It's kind of a crapshoot with us. Sometimes she will go back to sleep, but other times she just whacks us in the head and chews on the sheets.

Liv used to go back to sleep occasionally up until about 3-4 months old maube?, but now she hates it. She doesnt like to touch blankets, pillows, or us while she sleeps, so it rarely works out. Occasionally for naps she will cuddle and be the little spoon, but shes never been a big fan of co bedding.

She'll sleep for a little bit with me if I nurse her (which is why I usually bring her to bed with me in the first place), but sometimes she's awake and ready to talk and play. I like when she lets me cuddle and snooze with her in the early mornings. It's pretty much the only way I ever get to sleep in. She even took a 2 hour nap with me yesterday after her 6 month vaccines, which is unheard of!

She only sleeps in our bed now if my boob is in her mouth. Then she will sleep with it in her mouth. THE WHOLE TIME. ugh.

I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing no since we often play on the bed together and I'm assuming she would associate it with that rather than sleeping.

@Winniebee - We've had the same experience! She just wants to play and play and play when she's in our bed. She doesn't associate it with sleep at all.

I'm so glad to hear that other people have the same experience! I thought all babies liked to cuddle in their parents bed... so I could never figure out why DD wouldn't just sleep when I brought her to bed.

DS used to sleep beautifully next to me but because he's crawling/standing he thinks that me bringing him to bed is party time, squeals and takes off, so usually I do a feed/change and put him back in his crib.

Yes my LO would never sleep with us. Even when we're just staying in the same room because we're traveling and in a hotel and she's in her pack n play so she sees that we're there she thinks it's play time.
We're camping this weekend so we'll be in the same tent....her in her pack n play of course. Should be interesting!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: SAME!!!
I'm so happy I'm not the only one. I loved co-bedding and sometimes wish I could do it on occasion but like Tyler, Cobi only thinks it's playtime!! so annoying.
I do nurse him in our bed in the middle of the night but he always goes back into his bed right away.

Our baby gets very excited when she gets in our bed, and wants to play too, but if we close our eyes and act as though we are asleep she will soon fall asleep as well
