There are only 6 kids in LO 1's young toddler class during the summer so they are going on a "field trip" to a park that is 2 blocks away. I feel sorry for the teacher who has to push the buggy

They don't take them anywhere.

No field trips, but they do have a buggy like that and will push them around the yard and stuff!

@autumnlove: our daycare has that exact thing and they use it EVERY DAY. Our apt is next door to the daycare, so we both back up to a 35 acre park, and they take walks around the park every day, sometimes twice a day.

That buggy is awesome!
Our daycare takes trips to the library, the town center, and the field and gymnasium next door probably about once a week. They have one of those ropes with rings that each kid holds onto, and they walk.

LO went to a botanic gardens a few neighborhoods away. They also take them out to restaurants to help socialize them to it. We do that anyway. When there was a primary voting day, one of our daycare ladies took the kids with her to vote.

Our old day care used to take the older class of kids on local field trips- to the grocery store, local park, library, etc. I still follow them on Facebook and I love seeing pictures of the field trips!
