I think both girls made craft projects? LO 1's preschool class is having a tea party for moms at 11:30. I hope I can take an early lunch so I can join in on the fun!

They are having "muffins with mom" today at 3:30 pm. I super appreciate them having it in the afternoon, when maybe more moms can get off work. But we are probably not going to stay for it, because I usually pick up LO at 3 on Fridays to beat rush hour traffic.
I hate being stuck near the Lincoln tunnel with all the weekend revelers trying to get into the city.

He made me a little present that I haven't opened yet and they had a Pastries With Parents breakfast this morning to celebrate moms, dads, grandparents. It was cute!

They had a breakfast this morning "muffins with mom" and I got the gift the teacher made with the little (an adorable photo). The big will bring a gift home tonight. I don't have any idea what it will be this year.
They do the same for Dads, "donuts with dad" and make gifts for Dad.

Muffins with Mom this morning. And I know they've been working on a "craft for Mom" all week. Today we had to bring in a picture of me and him.

They had breakfast available this morning during drop off, and DS made me a kitchen mitten with his handprint on it saying I love u mom, his name and 2015. They also gave us 2 chocolate covered strawberries with a rose in a vase. It was nice.

They had muffins and OJ at drop off this morning, but when I tried to pour the OJ it was frozen.
I think DD did a project in her class last week, but she moved up to a new class this week so I'm not sure if I'll get it.

They did Muffins with Mom at 9am which is drop off for most of the kids. They also did a really sweet handprint artwork piece and wrapped it. For some reason, I opened it while I was there - and then realized they probably wanted us to save it for Mother's Day and that's why it was wrapped! Haha.

They did something but I won't know until I pick her up. They did muffins with mom this morning. They had the muffins out early so if the moms had to run, they could sit for a minute and then run, they didn't have to wait for a specific time. I ended up sitting with my daughter during her breakfast period. It was really sweet.

Muffins with mom this morning and a craft project. My LO was confused by having muffins at school and not at Panera Bread which is our Sunday morning ritual.

They had a breakfast and gave us a potted flower and a "world's best mom" certificate. So cute!

Her teacher texted me to tell me there was a gift for me in her bag, so we will see what it is when I pick her up! She wasn't in daycare for our first Mother's Day last year, so I'm kind of excited to see what she made me!

I have a little bouquet made out of both boy's handprints, and two little wrapped gifts I haven't opened yet. So cute, I love it! This is their first year in daycare, so I've never gotten Mother's Day crafts before.

Yes they do, they supposed to have a tea party at 3:30 to 4:30 at our daycare. But to be honest, I think the idea SUCKS.
I mean, I thought mother's day is for MOTHERS. Why do we have to take off work 2 hours early and scramble to go to my child's daycare so he won't feel left out when all the moms are there and I am not? Then I have to pick him up earlier? I mean didn't we already did enough for Christmas, valentine's day, and other hallmark holidays ?
So the story was, I totally forgot about it, rushed to the school at 4:15am when I suddenly remembered, only to find out the tea party was rescheduled to Monday . Now I have to take off early on Monday, again.
If anything, for mother's day, they should open until 9pm and offer to give your kids dinner at the extended hours. That would be nice to a mom.
Sorry for being super grumpy but this is my genuine thought when I was very upset sitting in traffic trying to hurry to my son's daycare at 4:15pm on Friday. As if no one has anything to do or any deadlines to meet.

They did a "muffins with mom" thing at 3pm Friday. I wish it had been a little later so I wouldn't have had to pick her up so early, but fortunately, I was working from home that day. The staff greeted me in the lobby with a carnation wrapped with baby's breath, which was nice. Only 2 other moms in my daughter's class made it. It was kind of a lame party, but my daughter really enjoyed having me there. She gave me the presents they'd made at school, which were really cute.
