Our two-and-a-half year old daughter has been refusing to sleep on her floor bed recently, and sleeping on the floor instead. Hope it's just a phase!
Her brother would sleep on the floor now and then, but he would move there while sleeping. She actually is choosing to sleep on the hardwood floor while awake!
Does your kid ever ditch their floor bed and just sleep on the floor?

Not yet! We have carpet so I guess it would still be comfortable if she did?

My DS didn't have a floor bed but he went thru a phase where he slept in the hallway on wood floors for a few weeks! He went to sleep in his bed but was always in the hallway when I woke up!

My brother used to pile his toys in the bottom of his closet and sleep on top of them at that age.

Silly Olive! Could you put a yoga mat down on the floor where she likes to sleep? That way, she at least has some cushioning!

@mrbee: ha, I guess she just likes the feeling of the floor, then! I guess it's not really hurting anything to let her sleep there, but it does sound uncomfortable. She'll learn

Some kids like the cool sensation that the floor gives - sorta like how adults sleep better in cooler environments.

@mrbee: we just switched LO to a floor bed about a month ago. She's doing great, sleeping so much better than in her crib. I have found her a couple of times sleeping with her head on the mattress, feet and legs on the floor, and tushy in the air 
whatever works!

she used to end up on the floor for part of the night, but she'd always crawl back into bed eventually.
