In Pre-K, our son got a detailed report card with numerical grades! It felt a little crazy to me to be rating 3-4 years old across so many dimensions with numbers from 1-5.

We moved schools though and for his Kindergarten class, he got a letter sent home with a verbal assessment of how he's doing. It felt a lot more sane to me, even though it must be a lot more work for the teacher!
