We get a random sleep in day every so often. Maybe once a month? Occasionally they will fall on a weekend, but not as often as I would like.
Of course it would have to happen to you on your first day back. On my first day back, I set my alarm earlier than the baby usually wakes up bc I thought there was no possible way I could get ready for work and watch him at the same time. Yeah, I had a lot of extra time that morning.

My son pretty much sleeps EXACTLY 10 hours. Last week he had an 11 hour night and a few weeks ago 13 hours. I thought something was very wrong!

Yep - I just figure grown ups don't eat/sleep/pee/poop the exact same every day, so why would a baby?

Every great once in awhile he'll sleep in past 7:30 ... not often. When he was sick, he slept 14 hours overnight!

@princessbaby: at 12 weeks on the dot, DS slept 12 hours+ and hope your first day went well!

No, I wish! My LO is 10 months old and the longest stretch he's ever done is 8 hours, and that doesn't happen very often.

ha - lucky! my first day/week back, LO STOPPED STTN & has been waking around 3/4am ever since... he was sleeping through since 8 weeks then I went back at 14 weeks and that started! hoping it's the 4 month sleep regression, last night he slept 8-6 straight.
